Oh, nooooo. |
I have worn a cardigan over my shoulders but not put my arms in it. Don't put the arms over your shoulders - put the shoulder on your shoulder and let the arms hang down. Wear a dress with a belt - and accessorize with nice bracelet(s). It gives a cape look - sounds weird but I got a lot of compliments on the look. |
There is a cut/style of cardigan that doesn’t look old now, but it’s typically a thicker knit and isn’t great for warm weather. An example:
https://www.alexmill.com/products/nico-chunky-cardigan-in-paprika Unfortunately I think the very thin lightweight cardigans are all a little matronly these days. What about short-sleeved shirtdresses? |
I always look for that type of dress, but most are sleeveless |
I don’t like my arms either and I’m usually chilly! Love sleeveless dresses though |
Holy, motherfockers. Too rich for my blood, especially for a run-around dress. |
I love 3/4 sleeves on dresses. Covers my arms, but doesn't look too . . . frumpy. |
Not sure if this helps but as someone who’s thin, I’m not sure I have ever thought to myself that someone’s arms looked large or pale or flabby. I say rock the sleeveless! I’m more likely to notice if you look frumpy with the cardigan. |
I hate my arms too.
I agree a blazer or leather/denim/bolero jacket with a sleeveless dress is more in style. A cropped blazer like this might work https://adoore.com/products/cropped-blazer-black |
I think something like this JCrew cropped cardigan/ jacket could work. https://www.jcrew.com/m/womens/categories/clothing/blazers/lady-jacket/emilie-sweater-lady-jacket/MP117?display=standard&fit=Classic&color_name=ivory&colorProductCode=BQ197 |
Good point. I’m always self conscious of my arms, but will remember this! |
Put a belt over the cardi |
That is the definition of frumpy. Why do you think the site styled it with no top underneath and with cargo pants? Because over a shift dress it will look very matronly. |
That is a lot of money for some really ugly, old lady clothing. You're kidding yourself MF. |
