is there any non-frumpy way to wear cardigan/shrug over a dress?

I am getting a lot of mileage from my white jean jacket!

Oh, nooooo.

I have worn a cardigan over my shoulders but not put my arms in it. Don't put the arms over your shoulders - put the shoulder on your shoulder and let the arms hang down. Wear a dress with a belt - and accessorize with nice bracelet(s). It gives a cape look - sounds weird but I got a lot of compliments on the look.

There is a cut/style of cardigan that doesn’t look old now, but it’s typically a thicker knit and isn’t great for warm weather. An example:

Unfortunately I think the very thin lightweight cardigans are all a little matronly these days.

What about short-sleeved shirtdresses?

Just buy a dress with flutter sleeves/flattering 3/4 sleeves and be done with it. Or get a spray tan and accept your arms. Cardigans and jean jackets look dated and fitted blazers/jackets look best on thin people and bulky/sweaty on the rest of us.

I always look for that type of dress, but most are sleeveless

I don’t like my arms either and I’m usually chilly! Love sleeveless dresses though

I’m old though. But rich, motherfockers. That’s why I like that website.

Holy, motherfockers. Too rich for my blood, especially for a run-around dress.

I love 3/4 sleeves on dresses. Covers my arms, but doesn't look too . . . frumpy.

Not sure if this helps but as someone who’s thin, I’m not sure I have ever thought to myself that someone’s arms looked large or pale or flabby. I say rock the sleeveless! I’m more likely to notice if you look frumpy with the cardigan.

I hate my arms too.

I agree a blazer or leather/denim/bolero jacket with a sleeveless dress is more in style.

A cropped blazer like this might work https://adoore.com/products/cropped-blazer-black

Good point. I’m always self conscious of my arms, but will remember this!

That is the definition of frumpy. Why do you think the site styled it with no top underneath and with cargo pants? Because over a shift dress it will look very matronly.

How curious

That is a lot of money for some really ugly, old lady clothing. You're kidding yourself MF.
