How long is this trip? I’d think about time zones and whether you have enough time to make Asia worth it. The lovely thing about Europe is that the kids can easily stay up late and everyone sleeps in which feels like a vacation. We went to Iceland with kids about that age and one of everyone’s favorite memory is going to play at the park at midnight and it was still light out because there is almost no night in the summer there. Even if the kids adjust well to time zone changes, I know that I don’t and I don’t want to be tired and cranky on my family vacation |

Or combine with Greece - Milos in particular. Tokyo/Hawaii. You fly from LAX/SFO you'll have to stop from DMV anyway. Stop in Hawaii and flights are cheap to Japan - you're already 1:2 way there anyway. Mix. Each island R&R with fun if big progressive city. Safari in Africa. Zion/GC/Arches. Stop in Page. |
We took our kids to Italy: Dolomites, Venice, Tuscany, incl. Pisa and beach.
