How long does the body recomposition stage last?

I get what you mean about the whoosh. It takes my body a long time to respond too. For me it takes about 2-3 weeks of consistency to see the first change on the scale. Then I'll see slow but gradual movement over the next several weeks. But usually around the 2-3 month mark I get the "whoosh" and drop 5 lbs seemingly overnight.

OMG can't believe you believe that. If there is any "whoosh", ie your alleged 5 pounds, that is solely due to lowered sodium levels. talk to your doctor about this and watch them laugh at you

Are you a man or woman? Age?

Woman aged 53, I thought OP was talking about being toned, developing muscles and definition. Not sure now what she is talking about.

Definition is mostly from low body fat. You don’t build muscle on the treadmill.

Really? Talk to my calves about that. I am not talking Arnold type muscles, but well defined strong and lean muscles. And yes, I do build from that.

First of all, settle down. l I think I know my body better than a stranger on the internet. Could be water weight from my menstrual cycle. Its also a proven fact that when you are in a carb surplus that you retain more water. So either way it's probably the body finally shedding excess water it was holding on to. I never claimed that I lost 5 lbs of fat overnight.

NP here and I’m curious why so many people imply that losing water weight is nothing. Water retention and bloat can be a marker for chronic inflammation. Shedding excess water is something to celebrate as long as you’re staying hydrated.
