I'm calling the Emily Blunt and John Krazinski divorce. She's on a rocket ship. I'm not sure I love her as much as Hollywood does, but she about stole the stage from Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway. Never thought I would say this about Hathaway, but the last several times I've seen her I've been struck at how she seems to be playing something she's not. She doesn't look comfortable in her skin and it really shows.

In contrast, I'm surprised that Jennifer Aniston is becoming the grand dame of Hollywood, but good for her.

Geena Davis is really looking her age and Jeff Goldblum is not. Injustice.

Idris Elba is still fine as h*!!

Nice observations, OP, although I really hope you're wrong about Blunt and Krazinski.

FYI, apparently they streamed live on Netflix last night, and now you can watch the recorded telecast there. This is actually a great way to watch award shows-- enjoy the clothes, speeches, and bits, but fast forward through the rest of it.

Maybe he was working, or on parent duty. More likely she’s getting older, wanted to show she’s still hot and a good fit for more interesting roles. It was a good bit!

Or was enjoying a little too much champagne on her mom night out!

He has an event in Cali next weekend. He seemed grouchy at the last awards show. His career has always played second fiddle to hers. He gets no real attention at these awards shows. My guess is he's over them and doesn't want to go unless he really has to.

I was so surprised she won. This season of the Crown was pretty dreadful imo. The Diana ghost thing was so dumb. My guess is that Sarah Snook and Jennifer Aniston basically split the votes, and she slid right through. Everyone seemed to think Snook was a shoo-in.

I agree. I thought season 6 was the first season with actively bad casting, pretty much across the board. I've really liked Elizabeth Debicki in other things, but found her portrayal of mature Diana to be a caricature. Her overacted mannerisms actually annoyed me whenever she was on screen. But we're probably in the minority. Obviously a number of her colleagues were fans!
