It sure is. No matter if Lee was historically at Key, Ashlawn now has 3 principals in a short time. |
She also speaks Spanish and has two kids in Immersion.. |
Probably because Ashlawn has a pretty good track record with good principals and parent satisfaction. When Barcroft or other schools need help at the admin level, that’s when they leave. |
To clarify the principal at Key resigned and took a job at another district after being hung out to dry by APS. The wording of this comment makes it seem like "issues at Key" meant she was shown the door, when in fact she left because it's difficult to work with Duran. A loss for APS and we can thank the Sup for that |
I’d be careful saying things like this definitively, because she has not said publicly why she left. For all we know, she “retired” after putting in her 30 years and went to her next post willingly with no hard feelings. |
The rumor is that she got a great non-principal admin job working on immersion/ESL in another district. Sounds pretty cushy. |
She’s the new World Languages Supervisor for PG County. |
Good for her! |
Congratulations! That's a great promotion. Good for her. |
She did not make an “announcement” but she told my spouse the reason (unsolicited) so I assume she didn’t want it a secret (and it seems like at least one other person here was told the same) |
You should have honestly kept this information to yourself instead of putting it on DCUM for others to fester over, but you do you. |
Not that PP, but why? |
DP but I would think that maybe the former principal wouldn't want this information to be so public? She certainly didn't tell trusted people just to start gossip elsewhere. I know at least officially when I leave jobs, even bad ones, I try to do so without much drama. I may need my former employer again at some point.
And badmouthing the super as a former employee is just bad. All the supers know each other. It's a small network. It can start issues with her next job. |
She was publicly suspended from her job for two weeks by the superintendent. |
Yes, but that was over a year ago. |
