Police blocked street & Crime tape at McLean HS this morning

That email came at 7:30 suggesting something happened while teens were commuting to school. My teen had an appointment and I went to drop off around 9:30am and it was still blocked. If there were a fender bender police would be gone. Students were not even allowed to walk past crime tape.

They don’t say self-inflicted gunshot , the say gunshot inflicted or something like that. Is there a chance this was a murder?

Since there was not a need to notify the public and lock down the area, you can infer there was not a threat to public safety. Read between the lines…

Sorry to get graphic. It is dead on arrival-gunshot wound to head. That doesn't mean it is self-inflicted-correct? I don't think there is a random murderer, but it doesn't sound like they have decided it is definitely a suicide.

Would they announce if it was a murder and the person who did it turned themselves in or they knew who did it?

That is my fear. One of my kids walks that way home, but thank goodness a different way to school. I also pray it wasn't a student or a parent of a student. Regardless, this is awful and I hope the loved ones can find peace.
