Family member has Covid and is going to work, super bowl party, happy hour etc unmasked - is it illegal?

I think this is most likely fake, but how do ppl even come up with these ideas?

I assume there are plenty of people out there sick with Covid or RSV or flu who are going to social.eventa or work or shopping without masks. You should to.

People like you are why the Covid death count is so high in the US. Selfish and ignorant.

No and no.

It's why it's inadvisable for anyone with a health issue or over 50 to socialize or work or shop without a mask right now. People need to protect themselves because others don't care. If you don't, and insist on being "normal" be aware there are plenty of people like OP's relative out there.

Jesus lord enough with the drama. Going about your life while sick doesn’t make anyone a “crap human being.”

It always has, and you've clearly always been one. "Keep your cooties to yourself" is playground logic.

I bet you don't wash, either...

Are you kidding me?? People are no longer testing for Covid?? What planet are you on?

You either have a tiny and carefully curated social circle or people are just telling you what you want to hear. The vast majority of the population has moved on and is no longer testing, quarantining etc.

Jumping off a bridge adage comes to mind while reading your comment.

You're right! Everyone: Back to the basement!!! 2 weeks to stop the spread!

I don't care if people with covid go wherever and do whatever they want as long as they wear a big red C on their forehead until they are no longer contagious.

In the last week of 2023 and the first two weeks of 2024 alone, 4,810 people 65 and older lost their lives to Covid — a group that would fill more than 10 large airliners — according to data provided by the CDC. But the alarm that would attend plane crashes is notably absent. (During the same period, the flu killed an additional 1,201 seniors, and RSV killed 126.)

So the flu killed 2.5 large airliners? Where’s your outrage at that?

Nope. I stay home , don't socialize, and wear a mask in public places. I don't go out to eat.

I am not why the Covid death count is so high. OP's relative is why the Covid death count is so high.

There is nothing we can do about it except to stay home, wear a fitted N95 mask in public, and not eat.in restaurants. Society has spoken, and if we have medical.issuea or immune system problems then (like me).we are out of luck going back to "normal."

This is the truth, many people are garbage. There are a lot of careless spreaders in the DMV.

Most people would probably stay home with the Flu and not spread it. But they would spread Covid without a thought. These crap people don't care who they kill.

No they aren't. You are the lone idiot (well there are a few of you here on DCUM) that are still sticking swabs up their noses for every sniffle and hangnail.

Yes, they were there before Covid and are here after Covid, having learned nothing.

After moving to the DMV, I had to stop socializing or going out from about Thanksgiving to March, because I would always catch a bad virus from all the sick people out and about even before Covid. Now, it's not any different. People are uncaring for others and I have just accepted that.

I hope people take note that if so many people are carelessly spreading Covid around, they are probably just as glad to spread herpes, HIV or other STD's to you. What goes around comes around.
