This is one reason the results surprised me. I am 5’ 7” and 125lbs. I also eat relatively healthy! I can cut out more carbs, though. And I eat a lot of fruit.

So annoyed at myself for looking at results on the weekend.

Fruit will spike your glucose.

Your bloodwork was fasting, yes?

When I told my endocrinologist, proudly, that I had had a banana for breakfast, she looked at me disapprovingly and told me how many carbohydrates were in it.

So basically you need to try to limit carb intake to under about 150 mg a day.
Increase fiber.
Drink more water in general.
Get your 10,000 steps at least 5 days a week.

Write down everything you eat helps.

I was just going to mention the fruit too. Try swapping out with some veggies.

Can you get that if you are diabetic.

Usually insurance will cover if pre-diabetic or diabetic. Ask your doctor or google, there are online providers who will write a script. Outside US tends to be OTC.

DP. My PCP refused to write a script. If anybody who has a female PCP in Bethesda/Rockville area who was willing to write a script, and is accepting new patients, I would appreciate the name. I’m looking to switch to someone who will!

This, OP. Pre-diabetes doesn’t usually mean massive changes.

I am diabetic but not on insulin. It isn't covered by my insurance.

Op you said you eat a lot of fruit. Look at the carbs and sugar in fruit. Then cut back.
