Do schools give hints before March 1?

How far in advance do they tell sibling families?

Our youngest got strong hints of acceptance early on from the school our oldest attended.

This is the only "hint" that we have received. We have heard nothing from the other schools.

Was this Pallotti?

No, we are in the Baltimore area.

We received emails from the school encouraging my child to complete the scholars application after the deadline.
The 1st email was a general notification that they extended the deadline due to the fact that it was aligned with mid-terms and they wanted to support the applicants.
The next email was a follow up encouraging my DC to apply for the program.
We were not surprised with the acceptance.

So... FYI, nice mailings are not hints from Madeira! lol

What do you mean by “swag mailings”? Like sent you spirit wear?

The only hint we got was more of eh, very unlikely, said in the most kind and friendly way.🤦🏻‍♀️

I’m sorry, PP.

We were not told anything directly, but the woman who did our parent interview at Maret could not have seemed less interested in talking to us. She went down her check list of questions, not really responding to what we said or engaging in a back and forth conversation. It was so unlike the interviews we had at other schools. We’re taking that as a hint.

The admissions director will call you in the dead of the night, but when you pick up, they’ll stay silent on the line.

Like "we look forward to welcoming larlo as a freshman next year".

Sometimes they hand you a copy of the Declaration of Independence and on the back of it is a treasure map. If you follow the treasure map and answer all the riddles, they let you know if your child is admitted and/or a member of the Illuminati.

DD got into all three schools she applied to, including Big 3. No hints from any of them.

Same for us at Maret! Clear hint they don’t want our kid.

You can tell everyone is getting antsy and nervous. Decisions will start rolling out next week with the diocesan schools and extending all the way to March 1st.

Good luck to everyone trying to be patient waiting for news in the next few weeks.
