I love these but they are so hard to find!

Lol, I bought mine when I wanted Sambas and they were sold out everywhere. Not you can get Sambas but not Onitsuka Tigers.

I swear those Tigers are identical to the shoes we wore for cheerleading in the 80s.

Haha I remember the 90s cheerleading shoes--Kaepas, with the triangles in your school colors.

I lived in Japan in the 80s and we wore these for cheerleading too! I had no idea they were popular in the U.S.. I need to find a pair. I loved them!

The Tigers were discontinued in the IS as of November.

Darn it. I’m the PP who wears them, and they are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever had. I think my feet are hard to fit, and for whatever reason these fit perfectly.

For a lot of us, it was never a trend at all. Sambas have been classics for years and will continue to be.

Nope. A good year or two more on it, at least.

For a lot of us? Perhaps for you, but it’s a trend on the way out for the millennial set.

US

Seriously?? What a bummer. My last pair is wearing a bit thin after four years and I was planning to just buy the same thing over again.

Not all of us are in the “Millennial set.”

I'm 40 and I've been wearing these since I was a tween. They are a staple. Sucks that they are much more expensive now because they got trendy but I will always have a pair...or three!

Good thing most of us couldn't care less what's on trend for the "millennial set."
