I don't think it's real but could definitely be plausible if someone happened to run a light. MPD might be instructed to just let the cameras handle traffic. Not like it would be the first bad policing strategy in DC.

It’s parents coming from Virginia to drop their kids off at the private Catholic schools - visitation, Saint Ann’s, plus work is trying to get to their jobs at Georgetown University & the hospital

DC doesn’t even enforce its traffic laws for its residents. The District is fully incapable of doing so for VA drivers.

They can enforce the laws on VA and MD residents if an actual cop pulls them over and tickets. They just don't have to pay camera fines.

I don't understand this thread -- Georgetown moms are driving the wrong way down M Street, NW at rush hour for school pick up/drop off? There is absolutely ZERO chance of this happening. Are you simply upset they aren't following the "No Left Turn between x hours" sign, which backs M St up?

Holy Trinity parents too. They are some of the worst offenders - will basically sit and block traffic on one-way side streets waiting for pickup. Nearly got in a fight with some lady in a Chevy Suburban who decided to stop and block a street for over 10 minutes while her fat ass waited for her spawn. There were 15 cars behind her, trapped on a one way street.

I have had success sending Holy Trinity an email asking them to remind their parents to be good neighbors.
Another strategy is to get out of your car and take a picture of the offending vehicle. Same does work

This city isn’t concerned with stopping 13 year old girls from carjacking and murdering people - why should *I* be a priority for driving the wrong way on a one way street, stopping then running a red at an empty intersection, or doing whatever else I want? If it doesn’t hurt anyone, I’m doing it. There are no laws in this city anymore. Everything is fair game.
