Fewer side effects?

DP: Yes. My teen had Pfizer for first 5 shots. Had reactions with all---headache, fever, mini flu symptoms. With the 5th Pfizer they had 102 fever, nauseaous for 15 hours and headache that lasted 3 days. Got them Novavax this fall and they had literally NO reaction.

I'd had 5 to 6 Moderna. Had minimal reaction with the later ones, but first 3 were bad. Got novavax and other than the sore arm had no reaction.
Same for my parents---no reaction at all to Novavax despite having reactions with the mRNAs.

So I highly recommend novavax for many reasons (I also think it's good to introduce a different type of vaccine to your body, maybe it will help more with the different spike proteins)

I had the Moderna booster and I was unable to function for 2 solid days with flu like symptoms. Decided to not get another booster because I've yet to actually catch covid.

Why are kids getting boosted? Because we don't fully understand the long term effects of covid on our body. But from initial studies, covid in kids does cause vascular issues---it's apparent in most kids in studies. So some of us would prefer to prevent our kids from starting out life with major health issues
