Covid booster reactions

Does the Covid booster still cause a lot of people to feel sick for a while? It’s been a long time since we’ve been boosted and I’m trying to time out the next booster with work and kids’ school. We had Covid in August. I’ve been planning on booster shot tomorrow but wonder if that’s a bad idea with new semester starting Tuesday?

I got the Moderna spike ax after four Pfizer’s and barely felt it. I went to bed early that night but otherwise was fine.

Why do you need a booster if you had COVID in August?

Pediatrician said booster is due three months after recovered from Covid for kids and suggested this was good timing to be best protected by spring break.

I had COVID over Labor Day and got the booster right before New Years. It knocked me out for about a day and a half. Fever, chills, tired.

Novavax is a great option for people who have side effects from mRNA

Had Pfizer the first 3 times and was fine.
My husband, teenage son and I all got Moderna last month. We all felt like we had the flu the next day. It was just one day but we were not productive. We were all fine the next day (36 hours later)

Got the Moderna booster last month on a Saturday morning, down with flu like symptoms the rest of that Saturday and half of Sunday.

Our pediatrician is not recommending covid booster for otherwise healthy children. Why are kids being boosted?

I had the Moderna booster and I was unable to function for 2 solid days with flu like symptoms. Decided to not get another booster because I've yet to actually catch covid.

I think only the people who have a reaction reply to these messages. I know almost no one who had more than 12-24 hours of feeling a little off (tired, aches).

I get the same side effects I have with the flu shot: fatigue, maybe a low fever, maybe a headache. Lasts for about 24 hours, so I take that into consideration when scheduling shots.

Oh, and my dh never has any reaction at all.

Yup. I was one of those people who is knocked out for days after Moderna and Pfizer.

With Novavax, only a sore arm and some fatigue.

Novavax has no mRNA, protein based vaccine like the others we take
