There are only five ecnl clubs to choose from in Northern virginia. Go to the ecnl website, look them up, contact everyone, good ID sessions or tryouts. Not that hard.,

Thanks for the helpful info.

If you feel your daughter is a top tier player and looking to get a D1 opportunity, then you will have to drive for a club with a good track record that can provide solid exposure. There are parents driving down from Bethesda and up from Richmond to play with clubs for exposure purposes in Northern VA. I even met a family driving down from Outside of Baltimore to play in Northern VA.

Now if your daughter is a tier 2 player then play close to home, get her training to increase her skills, reassess then ID for better opportunities. Just my 2 cents.

Why is there so much hate for NVA? Their 09, 08, 07 are all ranked top 50 nationally. 07s have at least 7 high level D1 commits and watching them recently they probably have another 5/6 that will be soon (2026/27). I realize the younger teams are not that strong but the high school teams are typically always very solid. Just asking...

NVA 08 just doesn't compare to Brave, sorry.

Didn't Brave 08 just lose to NVA like last week?

Yeah but Brave would love another chance at that.

For everyone that keeps taking the bait....there is a Fairfax Brave hater on this board. Please stop feeding this troll.

We get it, Brave is the lowest ECNL team. Why do you care so much?

I thought brave 2011 and 2010 are doing pretty good. That said if OP dd is a defender, it might be better to look at Union or Brave or NVA depend which one is driving distance.

Arlington has a strong defense, unless your daughter is a top notch defender for her age group, I doubt she would make it.

Seems more like a Brave fanboy. I just see pages and pages of Brave propaganda any chance they can find.

I would consider Virginia Revolution. They will be GA this fall. They have a stadium equipped with locker rooms, a restaurant, weight room, three practice fields, and great coaching. Even if everyone disagrees. Pay attention this fall, you will hear their name a lot.
