Has gotten into some schools higher on the list, but it’s still nice to get the acceptance!

Almost the same here, but direct admit to Engineering with Chancellor's Achievement Scholarship ($25k merit). Submitted SAT scores with application, so not TO, but university *will not consider SAT/ACT* in deciding these merit awards (even if submitted), which is interesting given that the application was TO and not test-blind like the UC schools. Just throwing that out there for future applicants on a merit hunt!

+1. My DD was admitted last year to Arts and Sciences with merit. She applied TO.

Last year A&S missed a lot of high stats kids for honors- DC reached out to request a manual review and received an offer. The A&S Honors Program page has info on how to do this. At the admitted students day honors session the staff actually commented on how many highly qualified students were missed in initial offers. Good luck!

Yes AB this year.

My kid was offered such a low merit package, despite being very high stats. Should we really request a review? Without more money, he’s not going….

No, they're stingy with merit. They don't need to give large amounts to get OOS kids to come. Every year people complain about CU's merit aid and they got "xyz" higher amount from a better ranked school. CU doesn't care.

this is crazy. My kid got in, but others from our private were deferred. I’m surprised.

Beautiful school. Stats surprise me if true. What’s their yield?

They rejected several 4.0 uw; 35-36.

They don’t want to be anyone’s safety anymore it seems.

Straight out if Wisco was playbook from 6 years ago.

Is this in the past year or two? If so it's extraordinary. Pre-covid they were much more generous.
