Take it up with the governor who said virtual days don’t count towards school days. |
Looks like there will be school. Sorry teachers and parents who can't part from their kids. |
As usual snow chances disintegrating by the hour. It would be nice for my kids to experience at least one snow day during their childhood. |
I’m shocked they haven’t already closed preemptively. But it’s Saturday. They’ll call it tomorrow regardless of the weather |
Got bananas, learned a trick or two to keep them fresh… and what happens…
no snow…no flurries ..:: no wintry mix …..nothing. |
Yes, OP. Except for Monday, schools will be open next week. |
Damn. So I guess FCPS gets no credit for staying open all day on Tuesday when it was raining while schools all around the region were folding like a house of cards and posters here thought it was the end of days. |
You must be new here. |
Loudoun stayed open on Tuesday. |
You must be new to FCPS. If the outer edges of Herndon have snow on the ground, everyone closes, even if the roads are bone dry in Lorton. |
Comments like this remind me of the time when my kids were in elementary. It was snowing and they didn't close. As we were approaching the bus, we saw a car turn at the top of the hill, start skidding and slam into the back of the bus. |
Why not just take some leave if you need off so bad? |
Shoved me timbers. |
The key factor here is the timing. It’s going to be in the morning, right in the middle of rush hour. I’m seeing up to 3 inches of snow in the DC area, not far western suburbs. At the least, we could be looking at a delay. |
I think a closure for snow has a good chance, but it isn’t going to be close to cold enough to close just for temperatures. When they’ve done that in the past the temps were single digits with colder wind chills. Monday and Tuesday have predicted lows of 29 and 17. |
