Does everyone get Botox?

I'm 47 and have never gotten it. I don't drink alcohol or smoke and stay out of the sun, so I think that helps. Oh, and being fat. Being fat helps your face look more full too.

It's pretty expensive to maintain. When does it end? 60-70?

43. No. Most of my family members don't. I do have friends who do, maybe 30-50%.

49 and haven't had botox, fillers, etc. I'm definitely not a former model but feel good about how I look at this point and am not planning on doing anything. I did just get an rx for trentinoin and I'm hoping that keeps my skin looking good for awhile longer. I may feel very differently in 5 years.

I do. I love it. Been doing it for 2 years and I am 47. Will do it forever.

49, nope. Did it a few times for migraines many years ago. Never again.

I feel like the Kardashians perpetuate this idea that either Botox or fillers looks super fake. I first got Botox in my 20s and filler to make my lips just slightly more plump. Let me tell you, it absolutely helped me on the dating market. But I only go to injectors that like a natural look.

I work in a clinic that does Botox. You’d be surprised at the variety of people we get who come in for Botox. Old, young, male, female, all races, all ethnicities, all socioeconomic levels (it amazes me how some people will put hundreds of dollars toward Botox but complain they don’t have money for other important things).

Also mid-40s and never had it. And no real interest. It's not that expensive but I feel like that's kind of how they get you -- I think once you do it, you get used to the way your face looks with it, and then you don't like how you look without it, so you will want to keep doing it. I don't really want to add this to stuff I need to pay for maintenance on. Similarly, I'm toying with the idea of going gray. It's so hard though! Even though I know women with gray hair who I think look great. But that's what happens -- I'm so used to how I look with my grays blended out, that now when I see them coming back in, I instantly hate it.

We'll see though. I don't actually worry that much about my eyes or forehead -- women in my family are not prone to a ton of wrinkles in these areas, and my mom in her 70s really only has fine lines and her face still looks youthful in this way. But we are prone to jowls and I can already see them starting. But that means fillers, not Botox, and I'm grossed out by how fillers never really go away and can migrate. But I know I'm going to hate my jowls.

Aging is hard!

I started it 20 years ago at 40 and it was subtle and looked great. Did it for years on 11s, crows feet. I remember the first time, I went to my hairdresser soon after and her assistant kept telling me that i looked great, that I had never looked so good so it must have really relaxed my face.

Then stopped late 50s. I don't think I need it. I think it makes your muscles work less over time and you get out of the habit of frowning. I notice on older people when their forehead looks frozen and the rest not, it's very obvious. So you can stop. I have never done fillers.

Also never told my husband and paid for it from my separate account.

I'm 52, and have not had anything done. I would like to, but don't even know where to start.

I started at 37 and have been getting it for about 4 years. I only do my forehead lines and 11s (you are supposed to do them together or risk brow droop).

I love it.

I actually like it best right before it starts to noticeably stop working. The 2nd - 5th weeks are a little tight to me but my eyebrows and forehead still move (not frozen, not noticeable to anyone, and I believe my husband and teen and friends would be honest with me).

I go every 3 or 3.5 months and pay about $375 each time (so, somewhere between baby botox and regular dose). But with Allé I get $20 off each time and I get the Mother's Day and Thanksgiving gift cards so it averages out to more like $300 each time.

I am not interested in filler at all.

It's not noticeable. Many years into my marriage, my husband started going off about crazy women who get Botox - he lives with me and has no idea.

LOL. Same.

Haha +2
It’s the filler that’s disfiguring

I love botox. I don't quite have aging lines yet but have had forehead lines forever (since childhood!) and I was very self conscious about it. Amazing product.
