Why is everyone assuming these are children? They are adults.

Child 2: Restrictions - Adverse to potatoes and seafood, just put on medicine for which we have to reduce sugar/carbs and amp-up protein.

What is something festive we can make that fits the above restrictions?

I made Cheese Fondue + a big green salad this year due to the same issues and it was amazing and a big hit so now I think this will be a holiday tradition for us.
I made shrimp, steak and sausage. For veggies we did carrots, celery, broccoli, cherry tomatoes, roasted mushrooms, garlic roasted potatoes and also had several kinds of bread and pretzel bites.

Dessert we made dark chocolate and white chocolate marble with fruit and various brownies, cookies and marshmallows to dip.

Genius. How did you serve/present this? Was it a small gathering, and you all sat around the fondue pot? I love the idea of fondue (and raclette) but never can wrap my head around the execution.

spaghetti, vegetarian Bolognese with beans, vegetarian chili with white rice, tons of things I think your post is rather dramatic.

The other people don’t want freaking spaghetti for Christmas dinner.

Make and bring 1-2 sides you can eat. Done.

Not op but I’m happy you noted this. I make this mistake all of the time. Thank you!

Make a main protein for everyone else but the vegetarian, and then make all side dishes safe for a vegetarian. It's not that hard. So turkey, gravy, and a number of non starchy vegetables.

I find that I dont often eat *every* single dish at a large meal, is it really an issue to serve potatoes but have some people not eat them? Have *some* stuffing even if theres people thats keto?
