How many billionaires have you met in person?

Do they typically announce it when being introduced?

I have no idea.

I don’t ask for their net worth statements and I don’t make assumptions.

Rich people have the same problems that poor people have. They just have more money to toss onto or withhold from whatever the problems are.

He is decidedly NOT a billionaire! After all this time do you people not understand? It's all smoke, mirrors and encumbrances. Though in his own mind he is the richest man in the world. LOL.

I went on two dates with a girl whose Dad was a Billionaire.

Her Dad sniffed me out quickly. Kind of like the guided age show.

I met her in Westhampton NY literally on Dune Road in the summer. I literally in my wrangler on way back beach honked at her in her BMW convertible and got her to pull over and invited her to the Westhampton Beach Club for drinks. On the spot. I am not a member but knew Bar open to public.

I took her on a date next week at her place in Greenwich Ct. At this point I am in deep.

Dad then told girl to tell me he will introduce me to his friends at his country club and swing by and it was $250k to join maybe I could join to play golf with him and his daughter.

Game over.

Both his daughters are married to real billionaires

Who are of course both billionaire heirs, not their own money. Remember Jared destroyed half his dad's companies value during the time he ran it while his dad was in prison (again, of course)

I met the son of an oligarch from Eastern Europe. He was married and in his 30s. He was pretty shy and reserved. I think it's because he led a fairly sheltered life for security reasons. He couldn't get out much in his home country due to kidnapping risk. I was surprised his English wasn't that great.. or maybe he just wasn't comfortable speaking it due to little practice.. so we spoke Russian mostly as that's the lingua franca in that region.

1 family fairly well. The father was cheap, very conservative (MAGA leaning and loved crazy conspiracy theories). Two sons were deadbeats and 1 struggled with drug addiction. The daughter who I knew the best was nice and normal although used to fancier things but relatively down to earth and has a decent job. Didn’t know the mom very well.

I work with one. Her money comes from family and marriage. She carries herself extremely well and she is very confident and poised. She doesn't talk about her money but it can be obvious depending on the social/professional situation. She is smart and works hard.

I see two regularly. One self made, the other family money. They are nice and normal but one never invites anyone to their home (security issue?), the other one is always worried about "fake" friends trying to access wealth or connections.

He was hard to relate to- multiple Malibu and Bel Air houses and over the top with his peers but modest with the common folk. He had a huge security team, an estate manager and a bunch of other staff. I remember visiting him in the 1980’s and he had a CD player that played 50 CD’s, a Shar Pei and an outdoor pizza oven. And it was the first time I’d experienced staying in someone’s home where there was fresh water by the bed. It was the little things.

The most interesting thing about him in my opinion is that he donated equally to both the Democrats and the Republicans. He hedged his bets.

No, but it is easy to gather when their name is on half of the public buildings in town, as well as hospitals around the globe.
