LOL what? You sound like my 70 year old MIL. GET OFF MY LAWN!!! |
Start parking in front of their house. |
I'd start parking in front of his house, whether I needed to or not. |
Does your parent have a handicap sticker? My neighbor got a handicap sign in front of his house for an elderly family member, so that spot is always open for them. |
It is basic manners, except for boors. |
Np. Have to agree with the pp. |
| About three weeks ago my next door neighbor had her yard crew doing work so he had a trailer and truck parked between our driveway and hers. He puts cones out when he comes. Then the neighbor boy had his car parked across the street kind of even with the yard man's truck. A neighbor lady came banging on our door saying we were rude to park in the street like that because she couldn't get to her house. Now mind you she knows who we are because we've been here as long as she's been here. Well over a decade. Our one vehicle is in our driveway. We never parked on the street. My husband went outside and told her it was next door and across the street blocking her way. She was rather haughty in her attitude. I wonder if she is racist because the first home she went to was ours. We're white and the other neighbors are black. She never apologized. That's okay. At least we know what she is. Her husband is THE nicest man. Poor thing has a nasty attitude wife. |
| Likely because of the direction they drive on the street. My neighbor parks in front of my house because he travels east on the street. He doesn’t come in from the west ever. |
Ok Karen. |
| Does the front of their house line up with the neighbor’s driveway across the street? My neighbor asked me not to park in front of my house when their teen started driving because he wasn’t doing so well with backing out and not hitting things yet. I park in front of their house now when I need to be in the street. |

The only people who don't follow the etiquette of "park in front of your own house, not your neighbors" are either 1) people who are jerk neighbors overall, 2) people who have cars but rarely drive them, and 3) renters who don't GAF about courtesy.
It's one thing to park for a day or so, but to leave your car parked in front of someone's house for a week? Or more? Rude AF. |
