White males value marriage and many (not saying most, but enough of them do that you will find one statistically) have the characteristics that meet the BASIC requirements most women are looking for in this area and on this site (college degree, full time job, willingness to settle down)

If you are black, no.

And white men generally will go on to marry white women. I am not calling them racist or even think this preference is racist. There are a few exceptions, but don't get your hope up on being the exception.

I’m dating an African man currently and I think he meets many of the criteria that White men do according to your description. And he is much wealthier than I am. In fact incredibly wealthy. He is 45 and works for the IMF. But based on his 2.5 million house he must have wealthy parents. We have been dating for a month. He has a doctorate in aerospace from Stanford. Success come in all colors.

I met quite a few privilege African kids when I was in college. Black Americans I think don’t have the same success.

What

Yes black and African are not the same people groups.

Absolutely!

Started dating my husband at 40, married at 42, kids at 44. (Yes - crazy late/old but that's how it worked out and we're all great.)

First marriage for both of us.

And many is the day when I miss my single 20s and 30s!!

Yes to marriage. Very probably to love. Re family…eh, less sure. Unless you would count stepkids, in which case totally doable!

It’s never too late to find love and marriage. Many men actually mature with advanced age so the odds get better that you can find one who isn’t a brute or selfish pig or serial adulterer - anymore.

Was it because her BF needed nationality to get residency?

LOL! I didn’t know she was married to Christian Bale’s father.
