Not even close. But if it helps you to feel better by blaming the victims, go for it, big boy.

Not only that I’m sure the Porsche stood out so they could drop from sight and return and find easily.

I am super concerned about crime and especially carjackings these days (i actually drive but that area often at 10 pm coming back from gym) so i dont want to sound like i dont care, but when i heard this specific story and the reason the carjacking failed, my first reaction was to laugh, it made me think of this

If we stopped sending money to other countries for warfare, we could afford to pay people livable wages and healthcare and educational expenses that would make them want to become productive members of society. Paying someone $17/hour when they have a family or want to start a family is not sustainable, they can make more money stealing, looting, and robbing.

dont be ridiculous, US' defense budget is almost 1trillion a year and is all spent in the US. money sent to Ukraine is a negligible fraction and, as indicated by the WP today https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2023/11/29/ukraine-military-aid-american-economy-boost/, most of the money allocated to Ukraine stays in the US. we should cut the defense budget and significantly, and good luck with that. also, none of the people arrested for carjackings show that they do it because they are working low wage jobs and need to support their families. many in DC are done by kids in or barely out of MS that use the cars for joyrides and abandon them right after

Oh sure. That makes it all ok. Just a couple of kids out having some fun.

That's not what I meant. I meant that kids are doing this more and more because there are few, if any, consequences. It only encourages them.

We need to pay 13 year olds a living wage so they don't commit crimes?

Ah yes, if we pay them they’ll stop doing crime. That sounds good. It’s never worked in the history of the world, but let’s try it one more time, shall we?

Even downtown Bethesda!?

Hah... I've always said that I feel like my best theft protection for my car is the fact that its an actual, really real stick-shift and none of these punks know how to drive one.

These are young joy riders (misery spreaders) who don't care who they hurt/run over. They are not doing this to 'start a family'.

Bethesda is now a ghetto S hole.
Leftists are getting exactly what they want in the DMV and what they voted for.

Whole region is a cesspit.

I can’t believe that this is spreading to The County.

We should build a fence at the border.

I'm for National Guard and Road Blocks. Show your paperwork and proceed.

Our former governor Larry Hogan would have been on it. Miss him already.
