How hard is it to get on an AAU basketball team?

I have found Nova 94 and Cavs and they have tryout posted. They seem mid level?

Is there some sort of ranking?

7th grade boys stars is not elite. Check out tourney machine and the shots up league results or local tournaments to get a sense of these teams and how they fare against each other.

How about Family over Fame? They have tryouts posted. Most of the teams don’t seem to have public tryouts posted.

CYA has a low end AAU team. They host late tryouts (early March) when all the High-Mid tier teams are filled.

Fairfax Stars boys is mid-level...definitely not elite. They're more known for their girls program.

Try contacting Pro Fit Basketball in Rockville (N. Bethesda). I think they run some AAU teams.
