Care to elaborate? There's this one dude on Twitter who constantly says Allen was referred for prosecution by MPD over something and tells people to FOIA it. As far as I know, the only blemish on his record is a DUI in Virginia decades ago (which probably isn't a good look for the chair of the Transportation Committee, especially in a city where repeat drunk drivers are not kept from driving).

Forget the malfeasance. How does Mrs Allen earn $130k on a $700k total revenue for the nonprofit? And how is this non-profit justified when it spends over 70% of that on her executive and other salaries?! Wow.

I think Trump’s non-profit which was shady as heck didn’t have such bad ratios. Or maybe it did just as bad

This founder and ED here has an even sweeter deal if you can believe it. Shocking numbers. And, as far as I know he does not even need to sleep with Chuckles to get it, although they do work closely together. So much grift in this town.

Ditto, Allen’s wife’s salary is about 15% of the non-profit funds, the other salaries add up to over 70%. Nonprofits like that benefit only their own occupants: their directors and employees and should be shut down.

No one will cover it because these people are nobodies who’ve by some fluke of electoral system and their own exceptionalism running the city and our daily lives

By the way that 15% is just her $130k salary. The benefits are on top and purposefully hidden I the other reporting category. Yeah it’s a story.

I think they’re paid to read to kids and supply books. Meanwhile there are so many high schoolers who must do community service to graduate who would love to read for free and donate books. In private schools it’s 50+ hours and DCPS 100. It’s really a joke just how corrupt DC is.

I think I calculated based on one of their press releases with the photos of the books they donated that a $2.99 board book cost the taxpayer $70 in Chuck’s wife’s leadership edition.
