I'm starting to hear rumblings about a recall of Councilman Charles Allen in 2024. Does anyone know who the lead organizer is? |
Aurora Market tried to launch a recall of Nadeau that fizzled out. An Allen recall would be even harder to pull off. |
A recall of Charles Allen would be a dream come true.
After his failed crime legalization bill that caused a national embarrassment and set DC statehood back by decades, I don't understand how anyone can still be for Charles Allen. And on a more local level, Allen routinely sells out the interests of his own W6 constituents if that helps him score performative social justice points with the other left-wing dingbats on the DC council. |
How could it have fizzled out when any recall effort of Nadeau (or Allen) is not allowed to begin until Jan. 1, 2024? |
Let me ask you this. They are allowed to begin in January but have been talking about it for months. Have you seen or heard of anyone out there collecting signatures? |
not gonna happen |
They can't collect signatures until Jan. 1. Try to keep up. |
Waste of time and money. |
+1 |
wouldn't it be wild if we citizens recalled all/most of our city rulers? Talk about a shot across the bow! |
It would be a good start. |
Well I would sign a recall petition. Come to Cap Hill! |
what if we just clean slate and vote anyone law and order in? Anyone, republican, dem, green party, Libertarian. As long as they say the right tough on crime kind of things? What a message! |
There would have to be electable candidates with other positions to vote for. Allen ran unopposed. Identifying an electable candidate is likely a better use of energy. And not too many other candidates, that is what has allowed Nadeau to hang onto power. |
Isn't it you? |
