My kid had an awesome laser tag party at that age.
Karaoke was also a blast. I had to call around a bit to find places that were open to kids-- a lot of them are bars-- but found one (Sticky Rice on H St NE IIRC) that didn't go 21+ til 9pm, so we did sushi and karaoke from 6-8:30 and I've never seen a crowd of girls have more fun. I'd try to stay away from all the conspicuous consumption stuff-- spa, mall, etc. They're little girls, they'll have plenty of years to have consumerism pushed on them. |
Laser tag or something similar that everyone can enjoy.
I started to suggest skating rink also, but not every kid can skate anymore as it's less common than in our day. |
It's so weird, there was so much roller skating when I was a kid, and no injuries. My kid and two others I know of broke a wrist roller skating. I wonder what changed? Are the rinks slippier? The wrists weaker?? At least we still have bowling! If we're willing to go to the suburbs, and/or spend a small fortune... |
Bowlero was popular with my 11 year old and her friends. Just be prepared to spend $$$ on arcade cards. |
