My kid eats a small amount of candy every day until it runs out. It'll probably be Christmas then, and we'll start on the Christmas candy, then Valentine's, then Easter, just two pieces of candy per day between now and May. |
Ugh, were you Debbie Downer for Halloween? |

| I turned mine off at 9 because I was cold on the porch and hadn't had a trick or treater in awhile. |
In our non-HOA neighborhood, someone put up signs on every corner saying ToT would only be from 5:30 to 7:00. No one asked us, or my friends and acquaintances in the neighborhood. If Karen has to go to bed earlier or puts her kids to bed earlier, she should just turn off her lights. We all found the signs strange. One neighbor who has a great yard display (with minimal lights) lives on a corner and one of the signs was up in her yard. Very annoying. |
I hope you took the signs down! Especially the ones on or right near your property? |

The last stragglers came at 830 or so. Before they arrived, no one had been by for about 20 minutes.
We had the most between 645-8pm. |
Meh, I've spent plenty of halloween nights with the lights turned out ignoring everyone lol. I dont think anyone should feel onligated, but I do like seeing the (very) youngins dressed up. |

| 9 pm. I like to catch the last batch of teenagers between 8:30-8:45 and unload any candy I have left. |
| It was a mad house from 6:50-7:30ish. After that it died down quickly. I turned the light out at 8:15 pm, nobody was on the street and my neighbors did similar. |
| Last kids came and knocked on the door at 8:55. We came inside at 8:45. My kids (younger elementary) were done trick or treating by 8 |
| We turned ours off at 7:20 because we had run out of candy. I even ran out partway through to get another bag. We had probably 150 kids. |
It was a neighbor’s property and she did take it down — and publicly shamed the anonymous person who put up all the signs. |
