| I’ve never tried it because I think it looks gross. |
You’re aware that most bubble tea places offer you the option of zero sugar, or 30%, 50%, 75% or 100% sugar…? |
| I love it but rarely get it since there are not any good places near me |
|
I like it. Wasn't sold at first but my teen daughter loved it. I like the chewy texture of the boba. Not a huge fan of the popping ones. My daughter likes lychee a lot, but I usually jsut get a straight milk tea.
I used to just get it with DD, but now I've found myself getting it sometimes on my own. It's a treat like getting a Starbucks chai latte. |
| Gong Cha PP here. I forgot to mention that the lychee oolong at 70% with the agar pearls is my favorite. The oolong is bitter and smoky. So good! |
| It sounds disgusting. I love just plain tea. |
So what, even without sugar you’re consuming a ton of tapioca balls, which are huge amounts of carbs. It’s still loaded with cream too. It’s just melted ice cream, basically whether you add sugar or not. |
| I love it! I typically prefer to get boba over coffee. There are so many great flavor combos too. |
| I like it, but I don’t know why. |
| It’s ok, I don’t get it often. Lots of sugar and carbs. I always get less sugar and less ice. Pretty pricey tho. |
| Nope, it squick me out. The idea that the pearls can “surprise” you and come up the straw and slime their way into your mouth and you never know when to expect it… just nope. I’m fine with tapioca pudding because there’s no “surprise” element — you see what you’re putting on your spoon, and generally, the beads are small enough that there’s a few in every spoonful. |
I don’t think you’ve ever been to a bubble tea place. I don’t get bubble tea with cream and there are so many various types. You also don’t need to get tapioca … so many options. Also someone here seems to have some unresolved issues with food if you think carbs, cream, sugar, are the devil. Same with ice cream. People are allowed to treat themselves without the food police reporting for duty. I hope you don’t have kids. |
I did not realize that! Aren't the pearls the "bubbles" that definitionally make it bubble tea? |
I'm going to try this combo! |
I drink a lot of bubble tea and have not once seen “cream” as an option. Typically you can order it with or without milk; just like with or without sugar. Where are you seeing cream bubble tea? |
