I am female. I finally felt financially independent and I started paying for my dates. It started to get old. A number of dates happily let me pay. Like I said, it got old. I was able to determine early on that I “really” didn’t want the nice looking artist-type. I thought I did. Their casual attitude about spending set me straight! Haha

This is funny. Thanks for sharing. I watched a guy “light up” once when I joked about a house husband. He was not subtle at all. re: above - I can see myself getting in this situation and resenting it later. Social norms are hard to break! That’s all I have to say
