Sober Friends

I don’t drink anymore but don’t care if others do, if they don’t get too drunk and annoying. I don’t like to be around smoke though or people who smell like weed.

I’m sober in AA. Like a previous poster, I may go to bed when people start getting a little sloppy late in the evening, but aside from that, I don’t care at all.

I don't drink anymore, but smoke weed and eat edibles occasionally. I don't care about other people's choices, and in fact, I enjoy when other people drink. I feel like I can live vicariously. I'm rarely tempted to drink anymore.

Literally no suggested this. You sounds defensive and I wonder if you are questioning your own drinking habits.
Signed,
a moderately heavy drinker

Found the flickering bulb. Literally every post in here is about appropriate versus inappropriate drinking?

I agree with pp and you do sound defensive about the use of the language “heavy drinking”

Some sober people have suggested they might feel uncomfortable or annoyed with someone sloppy drunk or completely trashed.

I don’t drink and find it super gross when others get drunk and sloppy. It helps keep me sober

You say you drink rarely to excess - but you drink daily and smoke week and do edibles.

You're old enough that you shouldn't care what others think - but if you worry what they will think - because deep down you know that you're going hard in the paint on a daily basis to be inebriated in some way then your concerns should lie elsewhere fr.

Really? What are the results they see via their watch?

Garmin tells you sleep quality based on heart rate variability. When I have a drink before bed my sleep quality is super low and it shows my body was stressed all night. I can feel it the next day too.
