70s and 80s are becoming extended middle age if keep up with things. If you don't use it, you lose it. Who knows what boomers will do with their 90s. I have late 80s neighbors who are running around doing stuff all day long and loving life. |
I'm late 50's. I totally accept that I am the age that I am. But I still dye my hair, wear makeup, watch my diet for the most part, get some exercise although I should probably do more.

I have zero plans to “leg myself go”. I’m 51.
I get highlights 6x a year, Botox 5x a year and just started the Korean 5-step skincare process. I won’t go “under the knife” but I’ve done lasers and likely will again. I’ve never been particularly fashionable but I look presentable when I’m outside my home and dress up for nice restaurants, parties, etc. I wear makeup most days although it only takes 5 mins to apply. Exercise is part of my mental health and I’ll continue doing it as long as I’m physically able. With that said, women should 100% do what they want. Also, let’s please just call it “living” and not “letting ourselves go??!” Jeez |
Probably about age 45 after moving.
Gaining weight because I am depressed and binge eat. Given up on finding a hair/ cut color I like. Tried several people in new location and makes no difference. Stopped getting good medical care because I can’t get in anywhere as a new patient without making an appointment 6-12 months out. When it finally comes time for an appointment it conflicts with something else. Get mediocre medical care because I gave up on finding good doctors (see above). It is possible to get in with a mediocre/bad doctor who phones it in. Wear the same crap clothes. Only replace sneakers otherwise my feet hurt. I miss my pants! Is this giving up? |
My mom was so beautiful and healthy when she was 60-65. 10 years forward and she is not doing well at all. Had a stroke, vascular dementia. It’s heartbreaking. But it also tells me that the best laid plans don’t always work out. Life is so short. |
I want to wait until my youngest kid gets married. I’m 32 years oldest than him.
So his marriage age + 32y. Whenever that is. |
Even though I be loved here for 10 years, with all the new people who moved in during the pandemic, it takes me 4 months to get a dentist appointment as an established patient. Made a GP appointment for DH 6 months out as a new patient with my doctor. It’s frustrating. I guard my appointments like a hawk. I even schedule my hair appointments 3 months in advance now. |
I'm 48 and not yet. I don't wear super high heels anymore, unless it's a special occasion. That's about it. |
Yes. I'm 70 and have embraced the gray hair, don't love the wrinkles, but I accept them, and am very active, healthy, fit, and 10 pounds over what I weighed at age 17. |
I tried out ine of the aging filters on tik tok- horrifying! I am going to step up on my beauty/fitness routine. No way am I going to look like that! |
This is depression, which makes you give up. Please find a therapist. You need medication and some talk therapy to get yourself out of the doldrums. Live is to be lived. You are existing, and spiraling downward. You are too young to be where you are. It's not healthy at all. |
I want to be you. I'm 59, and getting heavier. I don't exercise enough, and keep gaining weight. Starting (slowly) to exercise more (just moving is something) and eating more salads and less carbs, ie restricting my caloric intake. I've always eaten healthy foods, taken supplements for years, GF for past 12 years. But when you get older, your metabolism slows, so you have to cut back on what you eat, and you feel hungry all the time!! It's torture!! But I hate being heavy, and I know how dangerous it is, especially as you get older. I weighed 118 lbs when I was 17. I weight 175 pounds now. I don't think I'll ever weigh 128, but I'd be happy to be 160 and very fit, as I was before the pandemic. I don't do botox and will never do surgery, but I take care of my skin (no chemicals because I have severe allergies), never go in the sun (have not gone in the sun since my 20s), so I don't have any wrinkles. You're my inspiration, PP!! I dye my hair though because I'm job-hunting, and need to look late 40s. Gray hair makes you look 80!! |
Age 62
Feel good Lift weights every other day Stay active Color my hair. I started going gray in my 20's. (genetic) I've always gone brown but recently switched to blonde. |
I find I have a lot more time for this now that I don't worry about my appearance |
