Ok. That was terrible way to phrase it…but when did you accept the weight gain, gray hairs, wrinkles and stopped the daily fight with age? At what age did you say, I cant fight anymore. Or are you still fighting it til the end…via surgery, supplements ect. |
It is one thing to accept wrinkles and grey hair. It is quite another to stop exercising, eat junk food, and become a couch potato. |
+1 |
In my profession, law, women are working and dyeing their hair in mid-60s. |
I'm 56 and discovering the bad effects on my health from being overweight, so I am getting thin for the first time since my teens. Everyone comments on how I look now, but I'm not doing it for vanity. |
I’ll stop dyeing my hair when my youngest graduates high school
At 50 I don’t really have wrinkles. |
There is a middle ground between giving up and having surgery! Ues to eating healthy, exercise No to surgery Supplements dont work No to drinking alcohol, smoking Get enough rest Travel and try new things |
I am 67 and still color my hair. I workout most days and weighed 121 this morning. No plans for surgery. |
I’m 57 and will continue to highlight/lowlight my hair for the foreseeable future. I work out 5 days a week and eat well. However, I will not seek out any cosmetic surgery or procedures. I want to look and feel my best and stay healthy. But I have zero desire to pretend anything is going to make me look like I did when I was much younger. |
I'm 68 and never colored my hair. Minimal make-up while working. Dressed well, took care of my skin, ate well/healthy, and exercised.
I never 'let myself go' but my choice was to not spend a lot of time or money on maintaining an appearance that was younger than my actual age. And I support other women doing whatever they want. |
I am 62 and am on ozempic to lose weight (I weigh less now than I have for at least 25 years). That's mostly for health reasons, but partly for vanity reasons. I highlight my hair, but have very little gray to cover. I get BBL treatments to even out skin tone. Other than that nothing - no botox or fillers, no surgery, etc.
I watched the Golden Bachelor last week and I thought the women who had clearly done too much were much less attractive than those who looked their age. Or maybe the ones who looked their age just had better procedures. |
What an odd title to the thread |
I’m 70 and I do color my hair, try hard to maintain my weight and I’m blessed with pretty good skin so I don’t have a lot of wrinkles. My husband thinks I look in my late 50’s which is a very sweet thing to say but maybe his eyes are failing. I do hate the crepe-iness of my upper arms but there’s not much I can do about it. |
I care about what I eat and how well I can move.
I don't care about how I look. Have I let myself go? |
Im 43 and i feel myself going down slowly. I want to fight but its an uphill battle. Wrinkles forming, middle expanding, tired. Im in menapause, hope things get better. I feel older than I am. |
