I need a new clothes detergent - please recommend what you love

Another happy All Free and Clear user here.

Think about all your clashing scents: hair care, deodorants, actual scent if you use it, and your adding it to your laundry detergent too?

All free and clear as well.
Scented laundry detergent causes skin problems for a lot of people, but if I wanted scented clothes I like the idea mentioned in a post above of putting a small amount of a scent of YOUR choice on a cotton ball in the dryer.

All free and clear.

I use vinegar on towels and sheets. I also like arm and hammer washing soda with Nellie's soap.

Original Tide powder. I don’t pay attention to the scent because I always do a second rinse and my clothes never smell like fragrance (I hate perfume). I started using it when I cloth diapered and never switched back.

I use unscented Tide. It does a good job cleaning my clothes, and then they just smell like clean clothes, not perfume.

Second the Persil recommendation.

Tide Free and Clear Stain Release. It's only sold at Target. Works so well at cleaning clothes and getting rid of stains. And your clothes smell clean, not like artificial fragrance.

Does it lather well and clean good? My only hesitation is getting this and the clothes don't seem like I washed them but I'm sick of the super stinky detergents these days they're wayyy over the top.

They’re not supposed to lather. The suds were added as marketing, because they remind people of soap. But it’s not really soap and they were just for show. They took them out when we switched to HE.

It's good that you alternate. Homemade detergent alone would let crud build up on the inside of the machine.

What's good to spray on the armpit area? To get rid of that stink

I alternate Persil and Free and Clear.

Just started using Arm and hammer super washing soda and it’s a pretty great product. You can use with regular laundry detergent, or even alone in place of laundry detergent, if you have allergies to detergent.
