I need a new clothes detergent - please recommend what you love

- workout clothes, jeans, atheisure, mostly casual things (I'm an elementary teacher)
- I want something that cleans well, smells nice (not strong, but light and clean)
- cotton towels, sheets, duvets

Please recommend something that cleans well and doesn't smell foul!

I use Mrs. Meyers.

I switched from Tide to Defunkify and I think it works better. But I routinely get oily stains (I think from food - kids) that require treatment with Dawn and rewashing. But that happened with tide too.

I heard good things about Persil, but found it the worst. The smell is so strong and fake, and it didn't clean clothes well at all.

Persil with a sprinkle of Rockin' Green Active Wear.
The Rockin' Green is great for workout and synthetic clothes that hang on to smells, and it also neutralizes a lot of the perfume of Persil so you're left with just a hint of it.

Seventh Generation Free and Clear is what I use. I bet they have scented versions, too.

I love the grove detergent sheets. They make our towels much fluffier than anything we have preciouses. I have no idea why.

I use the Kirkland Signature pods. Good price and works well. They say it's some name brand detergent re-packaged under the Kirkland brand.

Tide. Still the best.

And an enzymatic additive for really stinky, man-made fiber athletic wear. I like Nature's Miracle.

I alternate homemade with Tide. both in powder form.
