There are plenty of instances where I’ve had to give my number over the phone, and someone asks me what kind of card it is. If they knew this, they wouldn’t have to ask. So perhaps not relevant to you, but it takes up zero brain space for me, and once someone told me, I’ve never forgotten it.

Kind of like knowing that all cars have a little arrow on the gas gauge telling you which side the tank is on. Tiny detail that’s handy when you have a rental.

Epistemology or different types of knowledge. Epistemology is the investigation of what distinguishes justified belief from opinion.

Specifically, that the relationship between Scientific knowledge and religious knowledge does not need to be cast as necessarily being in conflict (although obviously sometimes it is). They are different forms of knowledge that can dialogue with each other in helpful ways when dogmatics from either side are not poisoning the conversations .

Religious knowledge systems offer answers to fundamental questions about the meaning and purpose of human life. Separation of church and state was first instituted by the pilgrims to protect religious freedom rather than to surgically Remove religion from society. The majority of Mayflower passengers were separatists, men and women who had entirely rejected the Church of England and had formed their own churches.

However, religious communities should absolutely not be above the law, and any misuse of religious authority for sexual, financial or political misdeeds should be punished fully and accordingly.
