| Married 11 years. Dh gets up much earlier than me so when he notices I'm awake, he comes in, kisses me and says "good morning honey/baby/gorgeous. How'd you sleep?" |
|
35 years. I get my morning bed tea in bed. Every. Single. Day. He props me up on the pillows and says "good morning, open your eyes, here's your tea, careful the cup is hot!" and then gives me a kiss.
Also, he hates when I am woken up early by anyone in the morning as he knows that I like to sleep in. Everyone knows in our family, in his family, among friends and neighbors that I like to sleep in and no one should wake me up! He has never let me feel embarrassed about it. And he handles anything that needs handling in the morning. |
Very similar. Married 10 years, together for 25 . DH kisses my cheek as soon as HE wakes up. Doesn’t matter if I’m awake or not. This kiss wakes me up, then he says, “Oh you’re up?, Good morning baby” 😂

"Your daughter's alarm is driving me crazy."
- his daughter too, and she loves to set it early and often. |

| He wakes up before me and goes to make coffee. When I join him it's "did you do the wordle?" 18 years. |

“Yo.”

Alexa, snooze!
It's also the first thing I say. 28 years. |
| "Hi honey, how did you sleep? [Then proceeds to recount super weird dream that I can never make sense of.]" |
|
I am awake for a long time before DH gets OOB. I often don’t see him in the am. Usually communication, if any, it is a very quiet ‘I’m leaving now for work/drop off kids, don’t forget x, dinner at x’.
|
| Who’s getting up with the kids? 15 years. |
| Oh, you’re still here! |
| “Are the kids up?” Or “I’m getting up with them” is normally the first thing. |
This. 25 years. If we're both sleeping in we'll wake up and go through something silly. |
| “Good morning here is your coffee!” (Said to me, while delivering coffee to me in bed, I am super lucky, 23 years) |
