People who back into parking spaces are planners. They know the headache it takes backing in will be worth the convenience when it's time to leave. |
No one said they do not know how to do, it is just that it is unnecessary. |
Lol - I have an outstanding time sense, actually. If people don’t position their vehicle correctly to start, and the space is tight, it can definitely take two minutes. Moreover, I said “some people” not “all” or “most.” |
Would you "mind" if someone backs out of a spot and kills you? Just happened a couple of months ago in the Georgetown Medstar Hospital parking lot. |
It’s pretty clear that if you could actually do it yourself wouldn’t be complaining about it so much. Just practice and you’ll get it. |
It is safer. I do it in one try. Actually, it is easier for me to back into a space than pull into one. |
A “few” is 3+ minutes. That’s not happening, even for “some”. Even if you have to pull all of the way out and do it again it’s still <1 minute. Use a timer next time. It’s really not taking that long. |
your post is not logical, I "complain" about it because I can't do it? I have been driving since 1996 I know how to back into a space. |
They’re mad because they have no sense of time and don’t know how to do it themselves. |
This. |
O.k. boomer. Maybe you did it once 30 years ago but it’s not like you can do it now. If you did it regularly now you’d realize that it’s safer and doesn’t take much more time, especially net if you include time to pull out of the spot. |
I have never heard this, but it makes sense!! I'll start backing in (maybe?), when I have time to do so. I'm like OP. I get annoyed by those who back into parking spaces!! |
Someone who started driving 30 years ago is a baby boomer (counting fingers...), math doesn't add up |
Whether it’s the car, the camera or the driver’s visual spatial abilities - If it takes someone three minutes to back in, it will probably take them three minutes to back out. |
I do it, but only when there are no other cars around. |
