Kfed is a deadbeat. He has two children prior to Brittany that he has never provided support for and actually left their mother during her second pregnancy for Brittany. He is now parading his two sons around for tabloid fodder against their mother and helped create hostile attitude towards her. He is on his 3rd set of kids, still with no job and his wife is a volleyball coach living in Hawaii. Without Brittany's money he'd be homeless and unable to support his " family" in anyway.

Why hasn't their Dad saved any money for their college out of the 550K +/- per year over the 18 years he has received it? I don't believe the oldest has even gone to college so there's that.

Wouldn't the CS order still be in the original state in which it was set? How does that work?

My brother's child support was reduced when ex-SIL moved to a lower COL area from northern va. But that's my only experience with child support.

k-fed's wife got a job coaching volleyball at her alma mater in hawaii, hence the move, although i'm sure the child support angle was part of that career decision.

Neither child was a disney star or has shown musical talent like mom. Dad was a backup dancer for a short time and then has had no job for almost 2 decades. what service job are the Spears kids going to have and maintain their current level of living?

Kevin is not the furthest thing from a deadbeat dad. He ditched his first set of kids while he was chasing Britney.

Kevin is a better parent than Britney for sure. But that doesn’t mean he’s a great parent. He has supposedly spent the past 18 years not working and smoking weed. He has honestly done nothing to be a good example for his kids. I think there are likely MANY regular dads that are better parents than he is. But he does have a lot of PR to try and convince the public that he’s some sort of super dad

But this is a very unusual situation.

How many families devolve to the point where Deadbeat Dad gets the kids, never works, and essentially alienates affection/turns kids against the mom?

She’s paying a boatload in child support and the kids probably have trusts. But if they literally never call her or take her calls, then why should she continue to throw money their way once they become adults who don’t interact with her?

Having said that, I doubt they will be stupid enough to cut off the gravy train. They might start sucking up to her once they launch…if they launch. It’s not a leap to assume they might not be equipped for adulting given their father is a layabout loser.

First off the kids didn’t choose this mess. She brought them into this disaster and if they are weird because they were raised by KFed, that’s on her too. Second, can you imagine how bad she had to be for KFed to get custody? You have one party who is rich and successful and one party is KFed and the judge said - KFed is the sane choice. Finally can you imagine how traumatizing and frightening it must have been to be her child and exposed to her erratic behavior? Frankly the least she can do is pony up.

DP. There is no way she didn’t show any of these behaviors before K Fed decided to marry and have kids with her. He made the choice that he would rather have the financial benefits of being with her rather than a stable and healthy mom for his kids.

I do feel for her kids though. Because while K Fed was collecting checks they were the ones that had to actually interact with her. Must’ve been very scary.

529 type plans, IRAs, trusts, etc. surely he has a financial advisor.
