Kevin Federline support ask?

There have been some news reports that Federline may ask for more $$ since he has kids 100 percent of time and the youngest is about to turn 18. i can understand that. But..I found it strange that he suddenly moved to Hawaii due to a job for his wife. Okay but surprised no one reported another fact. In Hawaii child support goes to 23 if kids are in school. Might that be the real reason? I am thinking he has become concerned that the gravy train is about to end. I am sure she already agreed to pay for college so wondering how that would be handled.Feel for Britney seems she cannot get a break.

How pathetic to go through life without working to support yourself and your family. He’s lived off of his ex and her child support.

And how sad that her children never were able to establish a solid relationship with her.

If those kids don’t have any relationship with her, then she should cut them off once her CS obligations end. Why through money and gifts their way if they make no effort to have a relationship with her as young adults?

It’s usually horrible.

But this is a very unusual situation.

How many families devolve to the point where Deadbeat Dad gets the kids, never works, and essentially alienates affection/turns kids against the mom?

She’s paying a boatload in child support and the kids probably have trusts. But if they literally never call her or take her calls, then why should she continue to throw money their way once they become adults who don’t interact with her?

Having said that, I doubt they will be stupid enough to cut off the gravy train. They might start sucking up to her once they launch…if they launch. It’s not a leap to assume they might not be equipped for adulting given their father is a layabout loser.

I'm a fan of Britney and think Kevin is a deadbeat loser, but the kids have good reason not to want to be around her (untreated mental illness). If she wants to be a good mother, she will always be open to them and a relationship and not cut them off as if the relationship were transactional. Unfortunately, I think she's in suspended adolescence and relates to them as if they are peers instead of her being the one who has to offer unconditional love. And, she, herself, did not experience healthy parenting. So they got what they got, which was Kevin. Not a good situation all around.

Neither are much of parents but at some point she needs to stop chasing them and they can support themselves.

I can totally understand why they wouldn’t want to be alone with her since she’s clearly mentally ill and unpredictable.

If Kevin were smart, he would have prioritized maintaining a good relationship with her for himself and the kids. But he didn’t. And according to reports, the kids have no interaction with her (and don’t return her calls/texts). She gave consent for them to relocate to Hawaii.

On top of child support, she likely pays school tuition.. if they are even attending school. And his lawyer likely secured trusts for the kids and perhaps other longer-term financial support or gifts.

Maybe that’s enough for the kids?

I doubt it. I bet they will try to suck up to her when they want money.

I think Caitlyn Jenner’s kids did the same thing once the Kardashian Kash and reality show vacations got started. Not the same situation, but illustrates the power of money. Jenner was a terrible father who abandoned two sets of kids to play house with the Kardashians. I can’t imagine why any of his original kids would even speak with her…unless it’s to stay in her good graces for cash and to remain in the will.

He won’t be able to change the jurisdiction at this point from CA. Child support ends at 18/graduation from HS in CA. Whatever Brittney provides after that point is a gift.

If they live in Hawaii and are residents of Hawaii the rules are different. Maybe he will threaten legal action. I thought the whole Hawaii thing all of a sudden was strange. Those kids have definitely been alienated. It may take her totally cutting them off as young adults for them to understand that she was the provider

But no parent is required to pay deadbeat exes once the kids reach adulthood.

The law is clear that CA rules apply. There are articles on this. So 18.

She’s not in suspended adolescence. She is severely mentally ill and appears to have a low iq.
