I would melt at such a guy (and did once!)

But only do this if it is a sincere cause for you. Otherwise:bait and switch

(Similarly:volunteer politically)

Running, biking, yoga, music performance, sports team. When you do a performance art or sport it’s most effective bc it’s basically advertising, you reach a lot of people at once. Also includes acting/theater.

Other good things are crafts fairs, swing/salsa/tango dancing, joining a golf/tennis/swim club.

What activities would you want to do with a woman? Pick those.

Cooking and playing guitar. Also maybe furniture making. And learning another language.

Do you want a hobby where you can meet women, or a hobby that would make you be more attractive to women?

It's hard to fake enthusiasm, and no woman is going to be attracted to someone who grudgingly goes to chess club or dodge ball tournaments. And you're going to get along better with someone who is interested in or at least impressed by your activity. If you're a sci-fi geek and hate exercise, taking up extreme sports to impress women is not going to work out well, and vice-versa.

This!

I was struck by a completely average looking man when I casually mentioned the book I was reading. We talked for 2 hours about books, books that have been turned into films, and film directors. If you want a woman to take notice the rule is be interesting. A good sense of humor cannot hurt either.

An average guy who can play guitar and sing becomes a 10 to women.

To me they become a loser. I mean did you see the Barbie movie? They hit the nail on the head with this one - “come let me sing at you”

I picked up so many women at WholeFood and Trader Joe. On the way back from my weekly guitar practice group, I stop by WF or Trader Joe to do grocery shopping. I carry the guitar on my back while I shop and women ask me if I am a musician. I told them I have a corporate job but I write commercial jingles. Women love musicians.

But they can’t stand men who don’t know it’s “Whole Foods” and “Trader Joe’s.”
