You definitely need a hobby to attract women. The more difficult the hobby, the better chance you will attract multiple women.

I told my DS this when he was a freshman in HS. I (woman) also play the guitar, and I have one at home. He wouldn't listen to me. Then he had to take an art credit class in HS, so he picked guitar. Now, he loves it. And he sings, too. He won't play in front of people, other than me and his gf.

This isn’t true AT ALL. You don’t need to be rich, you don’t even need to ride, you just have to be a straight single man at the horse show. Single is negotiable. Probably so is straight.
