If you live in DC, how often do you go to the Smithsonian’s?

We like the national gallery. I take my kids, 11 and 14, a few times a year. Mostly when we have nothing else to do and i want to avoid shopping as the default. We went today and enjoyed the AC. Cafeteria is way overpriced.

Only when we have guests and they insist.

The zoo we visit much more frequently. But we also live 4 blocks from it so, there’s that.

About 6?

I'd go to the zoo more often but they're still acting a fool, requiring reservations. I don't know what the point of that is. Maybe to stop the spread???!!!

hahahhaa

But seriously. They need to stop this. Not only is it useless, it's racist.

Oh and I also hate museums. So dull.

Me too. Never go.

Same..LOL

We are not into museums. We only go if we have visitors, which is rare.

When child was smaller fairly often. It’s an easy day out to nap drive/metro home.

Natural History is our museum of choice.

Paying to park to go to free museums is what stops you?

Only when visitors come. I hate crowds-- especially since Covid

We don’t go any more. They are petrindishes for Covid. People should really be staying home.

When the kids were younger, National Building Museum, Air and Space, Botanical Gardens and Natural History on rainy days, or super cold days in the winter (polar vortex anyone???).

Before that, when we had guests in town.

Now, I can't remember the last time we went down there (we are in Montgomery County)
