Me too. Never go. |

I avoid the Smithsonian like the plague from May through September due to the heat, out of town tourists, and school or camp field trip crowds. I like visiting the Smithsonian once or twice a month during the months of October through April. My favorites are the American Indian, American History, and Air & Space museums.

| About 7 times a year. We rotate through them all! |
| Never in the summer and 1-2 times a month Oct-April. Favorites are the National Gallery and Hirschhorn |
| When my child was young, several times a week. Now not very often at all, maybe once a month or two. We live, work, go to school extremely close so there was no barrier to entry. |
+1. Also my kids like learning about so many different things, styles of art, etc. |
| Probably once per month but I’d prefer it to be more often. Kids are always asking to go to Natural History and for reasons I don’t understand, they always want to go to penn quarter sports tavern afterwards. So that’s our once every 2 months tradition and we sprinkle the others in between. |

Blacksonian? There is no such museum. What are you talking about? |
| We used to live in DC and now live right across the river. Not counting a couple of years during COVID, we visit the Smithsonians a few times a year (3-6 times on average?). More if we have visitors in town, and more when my kids were younger/less busy with sports, etc. Favorites are NMNH and the Freer/Sackler. |
| When my kids were little, we went several times a year. Probably 8 to 10 times. Natural history was probably the one we visited the most. We went either for school trips or just on our own as a family activity. My kids are college-age now, and I haven't gone in years. They still go here and there. |

The best times to go are in the dead of winter, after Christmas, before spring break, so February.
No crowds!Yes, it's cold, but get a coat. |
IYKYK. That poster is referring to The National Museum of African American History and Culture. |
| Hardly ever. But my kids seems to go several times a year with scouts, field trips etc. We used to go more when they were younger. |
| I have a three year old and we go a lot on weekday mornings. We go to most of them if they have kid stuff or kid programming. Like the Hirschhorn doesn’t have kid exhibits, but they work hard to do a good story time every week. |
