Your version of Oprah’s Favorite Things

Nonsense. Surely you have a favorite product or organizer. The less you have seems like the more favorites you've figured out.

Example - instead of 10 pairs of jeans, you have one pair that you love, and ordered it three times. Your favorite shoes, jacket, etc. Surely you aren't walking around a nudist.

Thank you. I am the Cocofloss fan, and while I am Swedish Death Cleaning pretty rigorously -- I'm even donating books! -- I am still enjoying my floss, my Kassatex towels (the dog got the very old ones I was replacing), the King Arthur measuring spoons (old ones went to the kid who moved out), and the bonus episodes of Maintenance Phase.

That’s great. But my old vegetable peeler broke, so I had to buy a new one and damn if this thing hasn’t made my life better. So sharp! Makes healthy dinner prep so easy! But maybe I should have just tried scraping potato skins off with my teeth….

Really? No favorite things? I love Burt's Bees Vanilla Bean Lip Balm. It smells good and has a non-greasy texture. I am constantly grabbing lip balm because my lips are very dry, but I can't stand chapstick or blistex brands. This is $5 but it might be one of my favorite things.

I get that you're a places and experiences person, but you have no little things in your life that you love or "can't live without"?

A classic Nalgene water bottle...I just always come back to it even after trying 'nicer' alternatives (Swell, one of those giant ones with motivational phrases, a straw cup).

Drunk Elephant lip balm. I used to swear by the Body Shop Vitamin E lip balm, which was discontinued...the DE is the most similar texture and effectiveness I've found, but unfortunately it's 3x the price...

Birkenstock Gizehs in a metallic for summer, and shearling-lined Bostons for winter.

Based on those 3 alone, I guess I'm kind of crunchy

I'll play.

I just reorganized my spice draw, which was a narrow, unorganized mess. I transitioned everything to three of these spinning, stackable spice racks. They have a shake side, large opening side, plus 1/4 tsp clickable part when you hold it above a pot or bowl-

The price has gone up by $12 since I bought. But I think you can find them at Home Depot (online) as well.

I also love my rice holder. It's large, but we go through lots of rice. It's much easier to have it stored and visually be able to see how much is left. Plus it has a measuring cup with strainer for rinsing the rice. I bought two, one for plain white and one for jasmine rice.

My Kindle Oasis - I rarely read physical books at this point. The battery life is great (I only connect to WiFi when downloading), I can read in sun, dark rooms, or next to the pool without worries.

I mainly use Libby to check out books, so after the initial purchase, my book budget is super low.

I prefer magnetic measuring spoons. So simple, and I'm never searching for the lost spoon.

I just bought measuring spoon that have two ends of different shape to use...so you can use it for two things without cleaning or drying the liquid off. Someone was a genius. They are also magnetic but I was them sperately and that does not really matter to me.

I have these and agree they are genius. The narrower end can also fit into spice jars when the fatter ones don’t. And since we’re on kitchen items, I’m obsessed with the $10 pot strainer from Amazon that clips to the side of the pot. Genius.

I installed USB charging outlets. So easy to do.

Ask which companies wanted to give me commission for promoting their products. That's how celebrity lists work.

One thing we won’t ask you, is how fun works.

Then why did you click on this thread? Apparently you are not in the “stage of life” where you understand that not everything is for you, and not every conversation needs to involve you.

I love my "Popular" Mason Pearson brush. It's a mix of boar bristle and nylon. I splurged when I was in college... I turn 40 soon and the brush still works great! I sort of want to buy another (maybe in another size or style?) but am afraid quality might have gone down as it has with many other companies.
