Yes not cool, and the intials thing doesn't make it any more palpable especially when one reference could be for two different individuals with the same initials.

Their former top 2012 team is showing up as Bethesdas preecnl team in this bracket [follow the team link. I was trying to figure out why a team named pre ecnl was in premier 3 when their e2 was in premier 1.]

+1. I understand that MSI got rid of all non-MSI soccer coaches and teams (“subcontractor”). This includes Top Rank and quiet a few others. MSI instead hired on a lot of new coaches directly employed by MSI. This is part of them rebuilding MSI into a travel program.

Pre-ecnl doesn’t mean anything special at BSC. It’s the 3rd team unlike some other clubs that use that moniker for top. It now goes 1, 2, pre, Blue. Starting u13 it goes ecnl, ecnl RL, Blue. See here. https://www.bethesdasoccer.org/girlsteams/

Oh and one more thing, that specific team has nothing to do with the current Rush stuff though part of the beginning of them losing teams and coaches. They left in spring 2022 as a team and played with BSC last year with a random color assigned so the team didn’t have a “rank” in BSC hierarchy. Must be a weird gotsport thing for keeping history to still show the old Rush name from 21/22 but in any event that’s way in the past, that team has broken up, and that team profile seems to now be used for this yr as BSC third team. This is the only team I know of in recent memory that moved MRM to BSC. It’s not some bigger thing re the club.
