Sometimes an 'acquisition' in non-profit youth sports amounts to agreeing to take on teams from a club that can no longer support itself

I'm still not sure I follow. I thought all the soccer clubss are nonprofit 501(c)(4)s. Are you saying MRM was actually losing money?

Some, Loudon and FCV come to mind, are for profit.

I doubt this will affect their August Cup or Rush for the Cup tournaments. Note that MSI doesn’t have any travel-level tournaments so I’m sure this is part of the reason why MSI was interested in MRM.

FYI, the previous Rush Director and current ECNL Coach at Bethesda just had his coaching license taken from him due to inappropriate relations within the past week. The offense took place while he was at Rush.

Women's sports have a long history of abusive coaches. Parents need to go into these arrangements with eyes wide open. And support more female coaches!

Yea please do!!! I think I know who this is. If it’s who I’m thinking of, I feel bad for a certain loser soccer dad who was obsessed w this guy coaching his daughter/s.

It can only be one of two coaches, KL or PE. My money is on KL.

Guys, this is the kind of stuff that got this forum shut down. Let's tighten up.

I’d be curious if there is a written source I could check for this as I have a daughter who may have played for him and I’d like to know.

Maybe I’m not looking right but I don’t see anything in there. However, it’s amazing (and also sad obviously) that such a database exists.

This is a really important statement if true, but I don’t see anything in here either…

Filter by Maryland and U.S. Soccer. It's the first result

Parents really need to remove the wool from their eyes. For years society ignored child serial abuse. We don't ignore it anymore, thank G-D, but there are still people who get involved with children's activities because they are attracted to children and want to abuse them.
