I agree it’s not a thing but don’t lie — she did not cross over and shake hands on the left. |

Yes she did. |
| The royal patron of the AELTC only shakes hands with a few of the ballboys/girls, never all of them. I've been watching Wimbledon since the Kents were patrons and this has always been the case. |
| If you watch the video she is walking in and the loudspeaker is announcing her. She continues walking until the introduction is done and by that time has stepped past the first kid. She stops and chats with the second kid for a second. The first kid just got unlucky with timing. If they had set up a two feet back then he would have gotten to shake hands with her. |
Huh? There was no “ire” in the OP. |
Nope. She shook all hands on her right side except for the first and kept moving to her right towards the awards area. Skipped everyone on her left. |
|
| She shook hands on her left, then last two or so on her right. Where the hell is this racism? I watched it, obviously most of you did not and are just yelling from your keyboard. |
| Stop with the bs crusade to prove Kate racist. |

It didn’t occur to me this was a snub. I was relieved she didn’t turn and shake hands with the left side.
We all just sat through a five hour (amazing) match. Let’s get to the trophy presentation, which was a class act. The words both players spoke were just lovely examples of sportsmanship. I was not a Novak fan, but I became one with his words of praise for his family and Alcaraz. I was so glad to have sat through this match, and I hope the kids who lined up for Kate had a great seats (sorry if I missed they were the ball kids - even better!) What an experience for them, handshake or not with Kate. |
You were not watching the men’s final — because this did not happen. |
No one on this thread thought it was a racist SNUBB. Stop pretending they did. |
She always tries to do these things right and be or appear polite and considerate but here she seems hurried so it's likely unintentional. |
Yes, they did. |
