27 BMI- will anyone give me Ozempic?

You can get it from many medspas. I’m sure they are generic versions and you’d have to pay whatever they charge but it works just the same.

So, the “generic” version (compounded) is legal right now because the patented medication is classified as in shortage.

It might not be that difficult to get an off label prescription for Ozempic, ie for someone without diabetes, but it is less likely your insurance will cover it.

My primary care doctor prescribed it for me but with the understanding it probably wouldn’t be covered (it’s not). I was on the high end of pre-diabetic and obese though, so idk if OP would have the same experience. I’m not obese any more (yay!) and waiting excitedly to get a new A1C.

OP is probably better of going the “med spa” route and getting it compounded, if you can navigate to something that feels reputable, because it’s much cheaper. Depending on the dose you end up needing, paying cash for Ozempic is really expensive.

Fwiw I haven’t had any trouble getting .25-.5mg Ozempic pens lately. Earlier in the summer it was harder to find. YMMV.
