27 BMI- will anyone give me Ozempic?

I know two people that don’t qualify but went through medspas to get it. Pay out of pocket and find an online medspa doing it if you really want to get it. Some of the doctors will do phone calls but don’t actually require patients to provide real proof of their BMI, comorbidities. This is how so many people are using the drugs.

Their BMI is higher despite what you see, their risk factors are different, or they found unethical doctors, take your pick.

Now that 3 doctors have said no, you don't think that maybe this isn't the answer? What else have you tried?

I’m a former products liability lawyer and the Ozempic craze is a disaster waiting to happen. Within a couple of years thousands of people are going to sue the manufacturer and providers claiming that the drug was overprescribed and caused bodily injury. People are going to get hurt.

Not Ozempic, which is prescribed for diabetes, but they will prescribe Wegovy, which is the same medicine, but prescribed for weight loss

So the easy answer is that they are working with doctors, and following guidelines. IF OP went to them she still wouldn't qualify.

There are plenty of clinics that will prescribe it, it just won't be covered by insurance:

Or they have heart disease, high blood pressure etc.

Given that taking wegovy to reduce a BMI of 27 and getting pregnant to grow a human are not at all analogous, I can't imagine why you are curious. Pregnancy is limited in duration, to be effective these drugs are thought to require a lifetime of use, for just one example. Additonally, there are many ways to reduce a BMI of 27 to 24. Not so many ways to have a biological child.
