The Washingtonian magazine has an article on this.

0%. Aliens travel decades over light years of space and then decide to play hide and seek?

Have you never watched Outlander?

I believe it's fiction.

Tell that to those who travel through the stones.

Anonymous wrote:I saw a(n) ufo 16 years ago while driving on Clara Barton Pkwy. It was 8am on a clear sunny fall day. My nephew saw it, too. It was a 2 dimensional metallic gray triangle approx 40' from base to top point (size estimated based on a turkey vulture flying nearby). The ufo was hovering over the road, approximately 100' feet up. I have no idea wtf it was that we saw that day, but I've never forgotten it, either has my nephew.

Were you near the Naval Surface Warfare Center?

I believe I was. There are hangars visible from the road. I figured it was some experimental air craft. Weird thing was it was flat, like a sheet of paper and had no visible windows or door. My brain was trying to make sense of what I was seeing and I kept thinking "stealth bomber". I looked up picture of jets and planes and couldn't find anything close to what I saw, hence, I think of it as ufo.

Just because you can’t identify it doesn’t make it an unidentified flying object. Otherwise 90% of the birds I see would be UFOs.

I suspect it was some sort of instrumentation tethered to the ground to take measurements of something in their surface tanks.

I doubt it was unidentified to the center.

There were no tethers visible. It was a clear day and I have excellent 20/15 eye sight.

Are you all talking about the guy in this article: https://thedebrief.org/intelligence-officials-say-u-s-has-retrieved-non-human-craft/? It's actually pretty decent. Ezra Klein did a podcast with the author that was interesting as well.

Like Sagan said, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Some grainy videos and photos, some hearsay from government officials (I once was a federal government officials, plenty of morons are government officials) and a few metal balls from the oceanfloor are not enough evidence of anything.

If you can't see it, it doesn't exist. If you can see it, it's a UFO. What a crazy world.

Something is certainly going on. Did we need to form yet another freaking agency to address it? My answer is no, because it's not necessary. We'll probably continue having sightings, with nothing concrete or any actual threat to us. If they meant harm, something would have happened long ago.

We didn’t form another agency to do this. NASA is chartered to coordinate a study if unidentified aerial phenomena across existing agencies. Initial report came out last month.

The aliens are clearly super intelligent.

They are so deeply aware of, or perhaps controlling, our technological advancements, that for centuries they have adjusted their materials and operations always operated precisely at the edge of our ability to detect them.

Well... A flying something. It could have been a bat. I just reported it as a UFO just in case it was a shape shifting alien.

Many a person with access to government information has said intelligent alien life exists and has been on this planet. They can’t all be crazy or looking for a minute of fame. The government is slowly releasing info to prepare us for a big reveal.
